Responsible for developing robust relationships among and between AIHA volunteers and staff. This includes supervising and/or managing all aspects of AIHA's volunteer group and local sections activities to include a volunteer recruitment and recognition program that encourages volunteers to participate and ensures that their efforts are visibly appreciated. This position is one of the volunteer's primary contacts with AIHA and as such plays a critical role to AIHA's long-term success by ensuring a positive experience for volunteers.
Develop and implement strategy to identify, recruit, orient, develop and recognize volunteers; increase member awareness of volunteer activities; track member engagement across the organization; oversee management of volunteer groups to include necessary administrative functions; in conjunction with Program Manager, Professional Community, develop programs to support AIHA local sections and surface areas for possible collaboration, as well as develop programming for the annual AIHA Leadership Workshop, AIHA Future Leaders Institute, AIHce State of Affairs, and the AIHce Mark of Excellence event.
Responsible for building membership in AIHA through strategic leadership and direction for all membership programs to achieve consistent overall membership growth while ensuring each member a high value experience. Working in conjunction with the AIHA Director, develop, maintain and implement marketing plans that consistently communicate AIHA’s membership value proposition and directly impact organizational revenue through new membership growth, membership renewals, recruitment, membership on-boarding, and engagement. Implements membership recruitment and retention programs, including prospect development, direct mail and email campaigns, one-on-one telephone solicitation, special events, trade show marketing and other strategies. Oversees the development and maintenance of member services and resources. Builds and maintains regular collaborations with colleagues in Education and Meetings; Policy; Publications; IT, Customer Service, and Finance. This position is externally facing with a wide variety of external stakeholders in the IH/OH profession.
