    Posted 01-24-2022 11:22 AM

    Advisory Group Mission

Document a concise, easy-to-use summary of minimum recommended global standards of care for the professional practice of OEHS that incorporate best risk management practices whenever feasible. Update and maintain the document as needed.

See the AIHA Standards of Care Advisory Group Charter for a detailed description of the Advisory Group purpose and objectives, timelines, group composition, and roles/responsibilities.

    Estimated Overall Time Commitment

    • 1 to 2-hour monthly Advisory Group calls
    • Individual work on behalf of the Advisory Group (estimate 4 to 8 hours/month)

    Advisory Group Selection Process

The process of selecting new members begins with an open call for applications to the AIHA membership. Applications are reviewed, and selections are made by the AIHA Board. Selections are made to ensure that the committee maintains as broad a diversity of representation as is reasonably possible.

Committee members must be current and active members of AIHA and are selected to provide a balanced representation based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:

    • Mix of academics and practitioners
    • Geographic diversity
    • Gender, ethnic, and other diversity considerations
    • Prior volunteer engagement with AIHA
    • Experience in drafting standards of care in another capacity

Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2022, 11:59 p.m. ET.

The AIHA Board of Directors will review applications from all interested parties. We hope to have decisions made within 3 weeks of the deadline stated above. On occasion, our review may take longer due to travel, schedules, or unforeseen circumstances. If that is to happen and you have not heard from us within 1 month, please contact Michele Twilley. We will be in touch as soon as we have an update. Thank you for your patience.
